In Calgary courts: Manslaughter suspect was never asked to commit violence by undercover officer posing as criminal, court told
In Calgary courts, an undercover officer refuted manslaughter suspect Jason Tait's claim that the officer, posing as a criminal, requested Tait to commit violence. The officer testified that he never asked Tait to perform any violent acts, only to check on a seized vehicle. The officer further stated that in subsequent meetings, he diverted the conversation away from violence when Tait brought it up, clarifying he didn't require Tait for such purposes.
