A new analysis reveals a massive infrastructure funding gap of €982.1 billion across Germany's federal, state, and local governments between 2025 and 2035. The largest deficit, 55% or €540.2 billion, is in the municipalities. While a proposed €500 billion special fund may address federal needs, the municipalities face particularly significant financial challenges.
