Lorenzo Insigne returned to Toronto FC's starting lineup after being sidelined, but the team lost 2-1 to the New York Red Bulls. Emil Forsberg scored twice for the Red Bulls, while Deandre Kerr scored for Toronto. Insigne played the entire game and assisted on Kerr's goal. Felipe Carballo of the Red Bulls was sent off late in the game.
