Israel says it is stopping the entry of all aid and supplies into the Gaza Strip

Israel has announced a halt to all aid and supplies entering the Gaza Strip, warning of further consequences if Hamas does not accept a U.S. proposal. The first phase of the Israel-Hamas ceasefire, which included increased humanitarian aid, ended on Saturday. Israel supports extending this phase through Ramadan and Passover until April 20, as proposed by U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff. Under this plan, Hamas would release half the hostages immediately and the rest upon a permanent ceasefire agreement. The U.S., Egypt, and Qatar, who have been mediating, have yet to respond.
