Only a T and H - along with a few metres of double yellows - have been repainted after an official 'Fire Path' in south west London was dug up for gas repairs.
Gas workers in Mitcham, South West London, dug up faded "Fire Path" road markings for gas repairs and only repainted one-and-a-half letters, as government regulations only require them to refresh the removed sections. Residents criticize the result, stating that the current look is 'rubbish'. The council has stated that repainting the entire road was not required by their department.
