On the last day of the G7 meeting in Quebec, Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Joly emphasized to her counterparts that U.S. annexation threats under a Trump administration were not a joke. Joly also discussed tariffs and trade with the U.S. and advocated for a call between Trump and the new Canadian Prime Minister. European counterparts expressed support for Canada.
