The French Ministry of Justice supports an amendment to its anti-drug trafficking bill, reducing the maximum initial period for placing the most dangerous drug traffickers in high-security units to two years, renewable, based on a suggestion from the Conseil d’Etat. The Ministry also agrees with the Conseil d'Etat's recommendation to limit the generalization of videoconferencing to detainees in high-security units, excluding the trial phase.
