Liberal Prime Minister Mark Carney is embarking on his first international trip to Europe to strengthen ties with France and the UK, and reaffirm Canada's Arctic sovereignty. He will meet with French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and King Charles. Prior to his departure, he will attend the Saint-Patrick's Day parade and meet with Quebec Premier François Legault. A trip to the US is not yet planned, but Carney intends to speak with President Donald Trump.
