Minister for Justice will also move to remove guardianship rights from parent who kills child’s other parent

The proposal also includes implementing Valerie’s Law, ending the use of character references in gender-based violence cases, and introducing Jennie’s Law to disclose domestic violence convictions. Additionally, there is a call for compulsory training for judges on sexual and gender-based violence. The move aims to address the lack of public awareness about such convictions, as highlighted by the minister.
