London Philharmonia violinist has 'priceless' instrument stolen from Camden pub by thief
Violinist David López Ibáñez, a member of the London Philharmonia Orchestra, had his 300-year-old, 1740 Lorenzo Carcassi violin stolen from the Marquess Tavern in Canonbury, Islington. The instrument, loaned to him for performances, holds significant sentimental value and is described as irreplaceable. Also stolen were three bows, one with a mother-of-pearl tip. The violin features a heart-shaped scroll and was in a black Riboni Unoeotto case. Ibáñez expressed deep distress, urging the public for assistance. The theft is under police investigation.
