London Underground book exchanges forced to close after 20 years due to fire safety issues

Transport for London said it was forced to close the beloved book-swaps across every London Underground station



Sadiq Khan intervened to save London Underground book exchanges after Transport for London (TfL) closed them due to fire safety concerns raised by the London Fire Brigade. The book exchanges, which had been in place for about 20 years, were scrapped on Tuesday, but TfL is now working to reinstate them.
