A pilot and his two daughters survived for 12 hours on the wing of their partially submerged plane in Tustumena Lake, Alaska, after crashing during a sightseeing tour. A search plane spotted them, and the Alaska Army National Guard rescued them via helicopter after an initial hoist attempt proved too dangerous. They were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The plane was reportedly overweight for the conditions.
