Gardaí said a crime scene has been declared but there is no public safety issue
A man was arrested following the death of a woman on a Stena ferry traveling from Fishguard, Wales, to Rosslare, Co Wexford. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening, with the woman found unresponsive under unexplained circumstances, suspected to have suffered fatal injuries in a confined area. A disturbance followed, prompting armed Gardaí and public order units to respond. The man was arrested upon the ferry's arrival, and the woman's body was taken for a postmortem. Ferry services were disrupted, with two subsequent sailings canceled.
