Dean Carr, 25, was sentenced to two years in jail for meeting a 14-year-old girl on Instagram and engaging in sexual activity with her at a Dublin hotel. He pleaded guilty to defilement and sending explicit material. The girl traveled from the west of Ireland to meet him, and evidence showed Carr knew she was underage. The case was heard at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
