Man who survived being shot in the head pleads guilty to causing motorcyclists’s death

Daniel Phillips, 35, who survived being shot in the head and chest in a 2010 Limerick gun attack, has pleaded guilty to causing the death of Maurice Fehilly, 54, and serious bodily harm to Thomas Traynor through dangerous driving in Co Limerick in 2017. Phillips, who continues to manage the effects of a significant head injury sustained 15 years ago, was remanded on continuing bail for evidence to be heard on March 7. He is represented by senior defence counsel.
