Man would not have died immediately from skull fractures, Sliabh Liag murder trial hears

In the Sliabh Liag murder trial of Alan Vial and Nikita Burns, who deny murdering Robert Wilkin, a pathologist testified that skull fractures found on Wilkin's body wouldn't have caused immediate death. Closing speeches are scheduled after Vial testified Burns struck Wilkin with a rock. The pathologist stated that the lacerations from the blows would have caused blood loss and death within 5-30 minutes without medical intervention.
