Massive crowd expected at Scotiabank Arena for Toronto Sceptres PWHL game

The Toronto Sceptres are heading back to Scotiabank Arena.For the third year in a row, the city’s PWHL team is taking to the biggest hockey rink in Toronto for a regular season matchup, with this year’s edition set for Jan. 17, 2026.The Sceptres have twice played at Scotiabank Arena before under the game billed as the Battle on Bay Street, drawing 19,102 fans in 2024 and 19,285 in 2025.“The game at Scotiabank Arena is easily one of the most exciting games of the year. The energy there the last two seasons has been incredible, you feel it through your whole body,” said Sceptres defender Renata Fast. “Playing in front of 19,000 passionate fans at home is an experience you can’t really put into words.
