Glenn Hobbs was sentenced to nine years and two months in prison for deliberately driving into two men at a McDonald's car park in Chelmsford, Essex, following an argument at the drive-thru. The incident occurred on December 18, 2023, when Hobbs struck a man in his 70s and a second man who tried to intervene. The victim in his 70s suffered serious injuries and was rushed to Addenbrooke's Hospital. Hobbs fled the scene but was later apprehended. He pleaded guilty to charges of grievous bodily harm with intent and actual bodily harm.
