Men make twice as much as women from selling clothes and goods online, new study finds

The average male seller is making £1,047 per year, compared to £424 made by the average female seller.

A Post Office study found that men in the UK make twice as much as women selling clothes and goods online, averaging over £600 more per year. This is attributed to men selling higher-value items like tech and sports equipment, while women focus on clothes. More women sell online (59% vs 53% of men), but are less likely to consider it a side hustle and more likely to be decluttering. Scots earn the most from online selling, while those in the East Midlands earn the least.
