Met Office reveals when cold blast will hit after hottest day of 2025 so far

Parts of the UK have been warmer than holiday hotspots including the Balearic islands and Costa del Sol - but it won't last



After the UK experienced its hottest day of 2025 so far, with temperatures reaching 19.7C in Crosby, Merseyside on March 9th, the Met Office forecasts a cold blast. Temperatures will gradually cool this week, with most of the country feeling the cooler conditions by Tuesday, March 11th. Rural spots in Scotland could see -4°C on Tuesday night. Wintry showers are expected across the north and east of the UK. Temperatures are predicted to rise slightly again moving into next weekend.
