Michael Matheson earned almost £300,000 between the iPad roaming scandal, where he incurred an £11,000 data bill in Morocco and initially blamed on parliamentary work then later on his sons, and his upcoming resignation as an MSP. This is more than double what many of his constituents earned in the same period. He resigned as a Cabinet minister following the scandal and a 27-day suspension for breaching conduct rules.
