The 34-year-old man, named only as Park, was found 164 ft underground, around 17 hours the ground opened up in the Meyongil-dong district of the South Korean capital.
A 34-year-old South Korean motorcyclist, Park, died after falling into a sinkhole that opened in a Seoul street. Dashcam footage captured the road collapsing and the motorcyclist disappearing. The cause is under investigation, with officials noting 223 sinkholes have appeared in Seoul since 2015. A similar incident occurred in Japan last month.
