Montréal va de l’avant avec le réaménagement de la voie Camillien

D’ici la fin de 2028, les automobilistes devront passer par le chemin Remembrance pour accéder à la montagne.

Montréal is proceeding with the $90 million redevelopment of Camillien-Houde Way on Mount Royal into an active mobility promenade for pedestrians and cyclists by 2028. The project, aimed at reducing car traffic, follows the 2017 death of cyclist Clément Ouimet and subsequent pilot projects to limit transit traffic. The plan involves prohibiting car access from the east, requiring the STM to revise public transit options, and is met with some opposition advocating for continued car access.
