Mother whose mentally ill daughter, 26, killed herself breaks down in tears as she tells inquest how she felt 'seriously let down' by authorities over lack of support

Louise Fender's 26-year-old daughter Rosie Fender was scared of going outside, had trouble sleeping, and was hearing voices when she died in February 2022.

An inquest heard that a mother felt "seriously let down" by authorities after her 26-year-old mentally ill daughter, Rosie Fender, who had a history of paranoia, suicidal thoughts, and isolation, killed herself by lying on a railway track. The family and a former tutor, who had a relationship with Rosie, criticized the lack of support from NHS community health provider Southern Health. The mother described feeling powerless and unheard while seeking help.
