Mother's fury as daughter, 12, is threatened with isolation at school for tribute to brother with Down Syndrome

Staff allegedly sent Miley Hargadon home from school last Friday for wearing the mismatched footwear she had purchased for £8 from a charity.

A mother, Caroline Hargadon, was angered when her 12-year-old daughter, Miley, was threatened with isolation at Colne Primet Academy for wearing mismatched socks to honor her brother with Down Syndrome on World Down Syndrome Day. The school stated that while they celebrate charity events, World Down Syndrome Day is not one of them, despite Miley receiving an award for the same tribute the previous year.
