She shared her personal experience of inaccessible facilities, inadequate specialist support, and the overlooking of disabled women's needs in UK maternity policy. She calls for improved training for clinicians, updated guidelines, accessible facilities, and the central involvement of disabled women in improving maternity care services to ensure dignity and high-quality care throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postnatal period.
