'Murder bid' charge as three appear in court following Scots street disturbance

Three men have appeared in court following a disturbance on Donaldson Street near Muirhead Street in Kirkintilloch. John Channon, 57, Derek Hendry, 48, and Paul Began, 59, were charged with various offenses, including attempted murder, assault, and threatening behavior. Channon was remanded in custody, while Hendry and Began were released on bail. Emergency services were called to the scene at around 5pm on Thursday. It is unclear if the other two men charged have appeared in court.
