Muslim nations reject Trump's call to empty the Gaza Strip of its Palestinian population

Foreign ministers from Muslim nations rejected calls by U.S. President Donald Trump to empty the Gaza Strip of its Palestinian population and backed a plan for an administrative committee of Palestinians to govern the territory to allow reconstruction to go ahead

Muslim nations, at an Organization of Islamic Cooperation meeting, rejected Donald Trump's call to empty the Gaza Strip of Palestinians, deeming it ethnic cleansing. They backed an Egyptian-proposed plan, supported by Arab states, for a Palestinian administrative committee to govern Gaza, countering Trump's call for resettlement of Palestinians elsewhere. The ministers also condemned policies they said aimed to starve Palestinians into leaving. The meeting addressed the uncertain ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
