My insurer won't pay out for cardiac arrest... over an earache I had 18 months ago: SALLY SORTS IT

I suffered a sudden cardiac arrest whilst on holiday in the US last year. When I went to make a claim on my travel insurance, it was declined.

A 31-year-old's travel insurance claim for medical treatment after a cardiac arrest in the US was initially denied due to a failure to declare a doctor's visit for an earache 18 months prior. Sally Hamilton intervened, arguing the minor ailment was unrelated to the cardiac arrest. AXA Partners reconsidered and agreed to pay the claim plus £500 compensation.
