Narco tunnel between Africa and Spain busted after cops find ladder into abyss
A narco tunnel connecting Spain and Morocco was discovered in Ceuta, a Spanish enclave in North Africa. The tunnel, a 12-meter shaft with a ladder and air pumping machinery, was found in an industrial estate. Fourteen arrests were made, including two members of Spain's Guardia Civil. The tunnel was used to smuggle hashish into Spain, with the drugs then transported via trucks to mainland Spain. Earlier, three trucks carrying over 6,000 kg of hashish were seized. Ceuta is identified as a key crossing point for drug trafficking in the region.
