N.B. government seeks more free movement of alcohol across Canada

New Brunswick's Liberal government wants to make it easier to move alcohol across provincial boundaries.



New Brunswick's government introduced amendments to the Liquor Control Act to allow residents to buy alcohol directly from certain provinces/territories without personal exemption limits, and enable New Brunswick producers to sell alcohol directly to other provinces. This move is in response to trade tensions and tariffs imposed by the U.S.
