Cabinet members gave their backing for the school to serve the Llanilid site and to turn Dolau Primary into an English medium only school
RCT's cabinet has approved plans for a new Welsh medium primary school to serve the Llanilid housing development, which includes 1,850 new homes. The school will open by 2027, accommodating 480 pupils aged 3-11 and 60 nursery spots. Dolau Primary School will transition to English medium, increasing its capacity to 488 pupils and 63 nursery spaces. Funding for the new school comes from the Community Infrastructure Levy and the Welsh Government's Sustainable Communities for Learning Programme.
