Newcastle manager Eddie Howe is considering appealing Anthony Gordon's red card, which resulted in a three-match ban and will cause him to miss the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool on March 16. Gordon was sent off for violent conduct during the FA Cup fifth-round match against Brighton, which also saw Brighton's Tariq Lamptey receive a red card. The match ended with Brighton winning in extra time. Howe noted that Gordon's behavior was out of character and hinted at the possibility of an appeal.
