Nigeria and Germany are strengthening economic ties, marked by significant trade activity in 2024, including German imports of €142 million from Nigeria and exports of €84.6 million to Nigeria in November. Despite a recent trade deficit for Germany and a decline in Nigeria's exports to Germany over the past five years, a Nigerian company secured a €40 million export deal with German firms. The 10th Nigeria Agrofood, plastprintpack trade fair in Lagos in March 2025 will further enhance trade relations, with Germany as the Guest of Honour.
