Stanley Anigbogu, founder of LightEd, won the 2025 Commonwealth Young Person of the Year award for his work transforming waste into solar energy, providing clean energy to over 10,000 refugees in Africa and also won the top regional award for Africa. The Commonwealth Youth Awards recognize young people advancing the Sustainable Development Goals. The Khalili Foundation PEACE Awards were also given to five young people for their contributions to peace.
