Oleksandr Usyk ordered to defend titles against Joseph Parker in blow to Daniel Dubois

Dubois withdrew from a bout against Parker in February, and now the latter could secure the fight that the Briton wanted above all others

Oleksandr Usyk has been ordered by the WBO to defend his heavyweight title against Joseph Parker, after Daniel Dubois withdrew from a previous fight against Parker due to illness. This order may prevent Dubois from challenging Usyk next. Negotiations between Usyk and Parker are set to begin, though a deal isn't guaranteed, and Usyk last fought in December against Tyson Fury. Dubois became the IBF champion after Usyk relinquished the title and had previously lost to Usyk in a controversial fight.
