An oligarch, allegedly the mastermind of a massive money laundering scheme involving billions of Russian dollars flowing into Europe and the USA, has been arrested in London. The scheme, known as the "Laundromat," moved funds through Moldova with the help of corrupt judges and involved investments in businesses, property, and luxury goods. Former Moldovan MP Veaceslav Platon was arrested in connection with the scheme.
