Brisbane, Australia will build a new 63,000-seat stadium in Victoria Park for the 2032 Summer Olympics, reversing earlier plans to renovate existing venues. The decision, made after an independent review, will see "The Gabba" cricket stadium demolished after the games. The plan faces protests, despite the Queensland Premier's previous promises against new stadiums.
