One arrested, two others sought by police in attempted bank machine theft in Lanark

Power tools were left behind after the attempted theft, police said Tuesday.



A 35-year-old Gatineau man was arrested and charged with break-and-enter after an attempted ATM theft at a bank in Lanark, Ontario, late Monday. Two other suspects fled and are being sought by police, who found power tools left at the scene. No money is believed to have been taken. Police are asking for the public's help, providing phone numbers 1-888-310-1122 (OPP) and 1-800-222-8477 (Crime Stoppers).
