Only half of NHS Forth Valley unscheduled care patients seen within four hour target

New figures have revealed 53.6 per cent of unsceduled care cases were seen within the four-hour Emergency Access Standard (EAS) in January.

In January, NHS Forth Valley saw 53.6% of unscheduled care patients within the four-hour target. 2,539 patients waited longer than four hours, with some exceeding 23 hours. Delays were primarily due to waiting for initial assessment and bed availability. Scheduled care showed improvement with reduced outpatient waiting lists, but inpatient/daycase waiting lists increased. Cancer treatment targets were largely met, while workforce absence remained high.
