Ontario election: Stiles, NDP hang onto Official Opposition, Liberals making gains
Ontario's 2025 election saw the Progressive Conservative (PC) party, led by Doug Ford, projected to form a majority government. The New Democratic Party (NDP), led by Marit Stiles, was projected to become the official opposition, while the Ontario Liberal Party, led by Bonnie Crombie, was projected to secure third place, just above the Green Party. The NDP focused on affordability, while the PC campaign emphasized concerns over U.S. tariffs. Polling indicated Ford's strong lead throughout the campaign.
