Ontario finally allows drinking for pedal pubs which were kind of pointless before

Premier Doug Ford has furthered his government's seemingly primary agenda of making alcohol more accessible in Ontario, announcing Friday that residents will have yet another way to get a booze buzz.But, whether you're on team buck-a-beer or not, the latest easing of alcohol restrictions seems like a pretty obvious one that, frankly, should have been greenlit ages ago.The Province issued a press release Friday morning to share that pedal pubs across Ontario — which have been legally relegated to mere pedal-powered transportation to bars and breweries since their launch a few years ago — would be able to achieve their true intended form starting July 1, 2025.Pedal pubs currently operate in Toronto, as well as in other Ontario cities, including Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ottawa and Windsor.
