The Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton (SACE) is experiencing funding cuts from Alberta Health Services, despite continued core funding from the Ministry of Children and Family Services and a pledge from the provincial government. While SACE appreciates past support, the CEO argues these cuts negatively impact vulnerable sexual assault survivors needing support and calls for increased funding from various sources. Additionally, Edmonton Police introduced a webform for reporting sexual assaults older than seven days.
