Our dog was banned from the restaurant in a 'dog friendly' hotel

My wife and I took our dog for a weekend at a 'dog-friendly' boutique hotel. It was nothing of the sort! We couldn't take our labrador into the restaurant.

A couple who booked a "dog-friendly" hotel were barred from bringing their dog to the restaurant and were not allowed to leave him in the room. They may be entitled to a partial refund due to breach of contract and the Consumer Rights Act 2015, as the hotel's description of being "dog-friendly" was misleading. To seek a refund, they should compile evidence of the hotel's advertised dog-friendly policy and request a price reduction, but a full refund is unlikely.
