Passenger dies after medical emergency on Jet2 flight from Tenerife to Nottingham

Jet2 flight LS676, traveling from Tenerife South Airport to East Midlands Airport on February 14, 2024, was diverted to Santiago-Rosalía de Castro Airport after a passenger experienced a medical emergency. The passenger, a man around 70 years old, was confirmed dead upon landing. The identity of the passenger remains undisclosed, and it is unclear whether he died before or after the plane landed. This incident follows previous Jet2 flights where passengers died due to medical emergencies, including a September 2024 flight that landed in Cologne after a cardiac arrest and a recent flight from Glasgow to Rome that made an emergency return to Stansted Airport due to a minor fault.
