Payton Pritchard gives his reasoning for not wanting to smash Celtics’ 3

Payton Pritchard scored a career-high 43 points, including 10 3-pointers, in the Celtics' 128-118 win over the Trail Blazers. He opted not to attempt to break the team's single-game 3-pointer record of 11, stating he wouldn't aim to set a new standard. Pritchard and teammate Derrick White each scored over 40 points, making them the first Celtics teammates to do so in a single game. They also became the first NBA teammates to each make at least 9 3-pointers in a game. Pritchard's performance could strengthen his bid for the Sixth Man of the Year Award, as he averages 14.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and a 42.1% 3-point shooting percentage this season.
