PDP govs drag Tinubu, N’Assembly before Supreme Court over Fubara’s suspension

PDP governors from Bauchi, Adamawa, Bayelsa, Enugu, Osun, Plateau, and Zamfara states have sued President Tinubu and the National Assembly at the Supreme Court over the suspension of Rivers State Governor Fubara, his deputy, and the state's House of Assembly. The governors argue that Tinubu's actions are unconstitutional, seeking a declaration that the President lacks the power to suspend a governor or appoint a sole administrator, and requesting the nullification of the state of emergency declaration and the appointment of the sole administrator. They also challenge the National Assembly's ratification process.
