People on Universal Credit could face DWP penalty or court for not reporting these changes

There are certain changes in circumstances that must be reported to the DWP as soon as possible.

Universal Credit recipients (7.5 million in the UK as of January) must promptly report changes in circumstances to the DWP to avoid penalties or court action. Reportable changes include employment status, household composition, contact information, address, rent, health, finances, and immigration status. Changes can be reported online. Delays in reporting may result in overpayment and repayment obligations.
