Scopely is acquiring Niantic's games division for $3.5 billion, with an additional $350 million to Niantic equity holders. The deal includes games like Pokémon Go, Pikmin Bloom, and Monster Hunter Now, with all related employees joining Scopely. Niantic will now focus on building real-world 3D maps under a new entity called Niantic Spatial, receiving a $250 million investment. Niantic will continue to operate Ingress Prime and Peridot under Spatial.
