Police investigating after two Tesla vehicles believed to have been set on fire

Police believe the two fires may be connected

Calgary police are investigating two suspicious arsons involving Tesla vehicles: a 2023 Model Y set on fire at a charging station on March 18, 2025, and a 2025 Cybertruck at a storage lot the following day. Police believe the fires are connected and are asking for camera footage from vehicles parked at the charging station on March 18. These incidents follow other vandalism cases against Tesla linked to Elon Musk's actions, leading to protests and Tesla's removal from the Vancouver International Auto Show. Contact information: 403-266-1234 and 800-222-8477.
